Woodland Carbon

Many of us are familiar with the need to reduce our carbon footprint and know that, by reducing, reusing and recycling, we can make a real difference. But did you know that tree planting can have a positive impact too?
Trees absorb carbon
It’s what trees do. As they grow trees draw carbon dioxide out of the air and build it into their branches, roots, trunk and leaves. Our Woodland Carbon project will plant and care for new native woodland right here in the UK, capturing carbon dioxide from the air and creating valuable places for people and wildlife.
A £25 donation will allow us to create 25m² of woodland which will capture and store one tonne of carbon dioxide over its lifetime.
Woodland Carbon will be independently audited every year and we will publish the data on where trees have been planted and how much woodland has been created. With your donation you will also receive an email confirming how many tonnes of CO₂ you have captured by donating to plant trees with us.
